The Final Ceremony of the FAQtos Award 2025 took place at Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon, marking the culmination of the award’s 12th edition under the theme “Explore Radiofrequencies”.

This year’s competition brought together 36 teams comprising 137 students and 32 teachers from 29 schools across 11 districts and two autonomous regions. Over the course of the academic year, participants developed and submitted projects through a structured process, including video presentations, progress reports, and final deliverables.

Following a rigorous selection process, 10 finalist teams were invited to present their projects to a panel of judges representing the fields of education, research, and the technology sector.

INESC INOV-Lab commended the initiative, highlighting the creativity, talent and scientific spirit shown by the secondary school participants. In a statement, the institute emphasised that the critical thinking and energy demonstrated by these students will be instrumental in shaping the future of technological innovation.

The FAQtos Award continues to play a key role in promoting scientific literacy and inspiring the next generation of innovators in Portugal.
