Electronics and Testing Lab
The “Electronics and Testing Lab” provides services in product development, laboratory and Computer Aided Design (CAD)/ Electronic Design Automation (EDA), as well as Instrumentation, Control and Automation (ICA). It serves both internal and external entities, including education and training activities.
Optoelectronics Lab
The “Optoelectronics Lab” focus on signal processing analysis of multi- and hyperspectral signals and other activities related to physics, sensing and instrumentation, such as Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) and induced fluorescence. This Lab operates closely to the “Electronics and Testing Lab” and collaborates actively with various projects, e.g., plumes detection algorithms using machine learning techniques with neural networks or in the field of biology research (plants) using induced fluorescence.
Data centre infrastructure
INESC INOV-Lab’s R&D efforts are supported by a data centre infrastructure, ensuring efficient storage, processing, and access to information across various domains. This advanced infrastructure plays a critical role in backing the lab’s diverse projects and initiatives. Additionally, the lab is equipped with a wide range of specialised equipment tailored to support its R&D activities, enabling researchers to conduct cutting-edge studies and experiments with precision and reliability.”
